Farm Manager Map Update

Posted by: icoombs on: 16th February 2012

Two new maps have been added to Farm Manager, Beacons View V2 FINAL! and FS11 Map v5 by wopito.

Beacons View Dairy Farm V2 by Reef and the FMC team (Freelance Modding Crew). is inspired by the Welsh countryside.

Beacons View was the first ever 100% UK map with the AI Traffic and Milk Truck driving on the left, and now with potato and sugarbeet as two new fruits. Beacons View now also has the manure and liquid manure mod textures for when you are spreading on your fields.

Also there is a new root crop storage facility at the industrial estate where you store your harvested sugarbeet and potato, the potato store uses crates that you load onto a conveyor belt which takes them into the shed where they are unloaded and returned to you from the other side of the shed.

There is also a clever silage system where you unload grass or chaff into a clamp, compact and cover it then when fermentation is complete you feed it to the cows, if you fail to compact it the silage turns into manure which you then have to clean out of the clamp before you can start producing more feed for the cows.

FS11 Map v5 by wopito is an edit of the samplemodmap and features...

The DLC2 BGA
Two Farms
Two sales positions
Varied terrain and about 50 fields of different sizes
Plus new fruits: Cotton, Greenwheat, Potato, Soybean, Sugarbeet and Sunflower with all fruits having their own silos.

Site Update

Posted by: icoombs on: 13th February 2012

Over the weekend some changes have been made to the site, mainly cosmetic but with the addition of the field history. The cosmetic changes include moving all the menus to the left hand side of the page to allow more room for the Manage Farm and Farm Worker pages, this alleviates the problems of longer field names and just makes the page less cluttered but also allows more scope for future updates.

The field history is now shown below the farm map showing you all the previous cycles of the fields and also the crops planted in those previous cycles. Having the field history allows those of you who want to keep to a crop rotation plan easy information on the previous crop planted in a field.

I am planning a further update to include a contractors section where you will be able to setup a contracting company and hire and manage staff along with a booking management system. This is currently in the early stages so if you have any ideas as to what a contracting company would need then drop me a note.

If you have any ideas, suggestions or comments, please contact me on one of the following. Admin@Farm-Manager.co.uk

New Feature Added For Workers.

Posted by: icoombs on: 21st January 2012

Workers on your farm can now mark jobs in the job list as complete so you as a farmer can just review the job list and see what jobs have been done, then verify the job to finish it off and update the field status.

Workers get the standard job list with a button to click beside each job which they click if they have completed the job. Once they click the button the job remains in the list but crossed out and with no button. Once the farmer verifies the job it is then removed from the list and the field status updated.

Workers can now also see the field status detail by clicking on the field on the map or clicking a field name beside a job.

This will allow you to have workers carry on working in your absence and record the work they are doing, you then just verify the work on your return and close the jobs.

Berry Hill Farm Map Added

Posted by: icoombs on: 19th January 2012

Berry Hill Farm map has been added to Farm Manager prior to it's release on LS-UK. The map creator higgsterboss is currently MP testing the map and working on a list of recommended mods.

Once the map is uploaded you will be able to set up your farm on Farm Manager straight away so there will be no delay in getting to work.

ProFarm PDA Added

Posted by: icoombs on: 4th July 2011

A new map has been added for the new ProFarm Add-on by Halcyon Media! this is only a screen dump PDA as there is no access to the PDA in the mod folder but should be good enough for identifying fields.
